Undergraduate Students BSN Application Process

1. Complete the appropriate application to the School of Nursing.
2. Complete an application to Old Dominion University as a degree-seeking student.
3. Obtain transcripts from all educational institutions attended including high school.
   1. Transcripts for your School of Nursing application may be unofficial, so photocopies of your own copies of grade reports are acceptable.
   2. Transcripts to support your university application must be official, mailed from your previous institution to Old Dominion's Admissions Office.
4. Return completed applications.
   1. Attach to the School of Nursing application the unofficial transcript (or photocopy) of all previous educational institutions since high school. Mail application and transcript to:  Phyllis Barham, Old Dominion University, School of Nursing, 4608 Hampton Blvd.,  Norfolk, VA 23529.
      
      Application Deadline: February 1st.
      
      
   2. Return the completed university application to the Office of Admissions, Rollins Hall, Norfolk, VA 23529 or complete the process on the web.
5. Wait for notification. This can be the hardest step!
   1. You will receive notifications from the School of Nursing and the Office of Admissions.
   2. Admission to Old Dominion University does not guarantee acceptance to the School of Nursing. BSN students must be admitted to the university as a degree-seeking student and to the School of Nursing.
6. Accepted students will receive a confirmation form with the School of Nursing notification.  Please return the confirmation form to the School of Nursing by the deadline indicated. The form will reserve your space in the class if you will attend in the following fall. If you have decided not to attend at this time, the confirmation form letting us know that you are not planning to attend will allow another qualified applicant to attend.
7. Register for nursing classes!
