Admission
Old Dominion University will join with many other universities this year to subscribe to a Physical Therapy Centralized Admissions Service (PTCAS). Students wishing to apply will send one set of their materials directly to the PTCAS, and will then pay to have the service process the files and forward them to any PT programs chosen by the applicant. We hope that this saves you time and trouble in exchange for a moderate increase in expense. To give ourselves time to adjust to the new process, our application deadline will be moved up to November 3rd, 2008. The PTCAS website will be open to applicants August 1st. More information on the process can be found at the APTA website.
We accept 40 students per year into the Doctor of Physical Therapy Program. Applicants must have a Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university with at least a 3.00 grade point average.
